My PM Process
A systematic approach to product development refined over 7+ years. This is how I take ideas from concept to shipped product.
The Process
1. Discovery & Research
Understand the problem before jumping to solutions. Talk to users, analyze data, and validate that this is worth building.
User interviews (5-10 per week) · Competitive analysis and market research · Data analysis: identify patterns and drop-off points · Stakeholder interviews for business context · Problem validation: is this worth solving?
2. Definition & Planning
Define what success looks like, write clear requirements, and align the team on what we're building and why.
Write PRD with problem, solution, and success metrics · Define user stories and acceptance criteria · Create wireframes/mockups in Figma · Technical feasibility discussions with engineering · Roadmap planning and timeline estimation
3. Build & Iterate
Work closely with design and engineering to ship quality features. Daily communication, weekly check-ins, continuous feedback.
Daily standups and async updates · Design reviews and implementation feedback · Sprint planning and backlog grooming · QA testing and bug prioritization · Stakeholder demos and progress updates
4. Launch & Measure
Ship to users, measure impact, gather feedback, and iterate. The real learning starts after launch.
Phased rollout: beta → 10% → 50% → 100% · Analytics instrumentation and dashboard setup · User feedback collection (surveys, interviews) · A/B testing for optimization · Post-mortem and documentation
